While We Wait...

God always keeps His promises. From the moment He spoke of redemption, every word has been unfolding with perfect timing

and purpose. When Jesus came to earth, He fulfilled the promise made through the prophets - the hope of salvation for all who believe.

As Peter reminds us, “the Lord is not slow in keeping His promise, but patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance” (2 Peter 3:9). What may seem like delay is actually mercy - a love that waits, giving the world time to turn back to Him.

Though many in Israel did not recognize their Messiah, God’s faithfulness didn’t end there. His grace reached beyond one nation, opening the door of salvation to the entire world. As Paul wrote in Romans, “through their fall, salvation has come to the Gentiles” (Romans 11:11). What was once a promise to Israel became a gift offered to all.

We now live in that precious window of grace - a time when hearts can still turn, when forgiveness is still offered, and when hope still shines. But this season of grace also carries a call. Jesus promised He would return - and that promise still stands. His delay isn’t forgetfulness; it’s compassion. He’s giving the world time to be restored, to know Him personally.

Before His crucifixion, Jesus comforted His disciples with these words: “I go to prepare a place for you… and I will come again and receive you to Myself” (John 14:2–3). Those words remain a steady anchor for us today - a reminder that He hasn’t forgotten His people. He is preparing a place, and one day, He will return for those who are His.

That is the heart of our waiting: not fear, but faith. Not anxiety, but anticipation. We prepare, not because we are afraid of being left behind, but because we long to see His face.

Every sunrise is a quiet reminder that His promise still stands. Every breath is another chance to live ready - to love deeply, serve faithfully, and walk closely with Him.

The story isn’t finished yet, but the ending is already written. Jesus is coming again - and for those who belong to Him, that’s not a warning. It’s a promise of joy.
