Don’t Just Believe in Miracles - Be the Vessel of One

When we picture the early church, we often imagine the warmth of fellowship, shared meals, and teaching from Scripture. But if we look closely, there’s something else that defined those first believers: the power of the Holy Spirit at work in their midst.
Jesus’ life was marked by the supernatural - healing the sick, calming storms, raising the dead. And before He ascended, He made a startling promise: “Whoever believes in Me will do the works I have been doing, and they will do even greater things than these.” (John 14:12).
Yet many of us have settled for something smaller - we pray for God to act while forgetting that His Spirit already lives within His people. The same power that raised Jesus from the dead is not distant. It’s not reserved for a select few. It’s present, active, and ready to work through every believer.
So what keeps us from stepping into that reality? Often it’s not lack of opportunity but lack of expectation. We wait for God to move while He waits for us to trust.
To see the miraculous break through, Scripture calls us to four simple postures: believe it can happen, expect it to happen, make space for it, and be available. When we do, the Spirit moves - not because of our strength, but because God delights to reveal His power through ordinary people.

Today, don’t just believe that miracles are possible. Be the vessel of one. Let the Spirit who raised Jesus work through you - bringing hope, healing, and the unmistakable touch of God to the world around you.
Acts 4:30 reminds us: “Stretch out your hand to heal and perform signs and wonders through the name of your holy servant Jesus.”
It’s our turn to let the Spirit’s power be seen - so the world may see Christ alive through the Spirit in us.
