Jesus in Islam vs. Jesus in the Bible

We have looked at what Scripture says about Jesus - through the Law of Moses, the Prophets, and the Psalms. Each part of the Bible points clearly to one truth: Jesus is the Son of God, the Savior sent by the Father to give us eternal life. (John 17:1–3) But not everyone agrees. Around us are other voices - dreams, visions, movements, religions - offering their own version of Jesus. One of the most prominent of these is Islam.
Islam teaches that Jesus was a prophet, born of a virgin, and that He performed miracles. But it denies He is the Son of God. It denies He was crucified. It denies the resurrection. It says someone else was made to look like Him. This version is not the Jesus of the Bible.
Jesus didn’t come as a result of someone’s vision. He came as the fulfillment of the Scriptures. “Then I said, ‘Behold, I have come - In the volume of the book it is written of Me - To do Your will, O God.’” (Hebrews 10:7) The prophets saw glimpses. They had visions and revelations about who the Messiah would be.
But Jesus didn’t come because of a vision - He came to fulfill what was written. He came so that we can encounter Him as He truly is.
When Jesus asked His disciples, “Who do you say that I am?” Simon Peter replied: “You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.” (Matthew 16:16) Jesus didn’t deny it. In fact, He blessed Peter - and said this truth didn’t come from human understanding, but from the Father. (Matthew 16:17) It takes God to reveal Jesus as He truly is. We can’t figure Him out on our own. But if we let Scripture speak - He is there, on every page.
Paul warns us to be careful: “Even if we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel... let them be accursed.” (Galatians 1:8) Not even angels get to rewrite the Gospel.
Today, many chase visions, dreams, and supernatural encounters. But Scripture is clear: “For false christs and false prophets will rise and show great signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect.” (Matthew 24:24) “Many will come in My name, claiming, ‘I am he,’ and will deceive many.” (Mark 13:6) Romans 2:4 reminds us - ignorance is no excuse. Deception offers no safety net. The only protection is knowing the real Jesus through the Word of God.

And the real Jesus?
He is the Son. The One sent by the Father because of love. “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son...” (John 3:16) To deny the Son is to reject the Father. (John 15:23)
Jesus went to the cross - not metaphorically, not symbolically, not in someone else’s body. He died for our sins. He nailed the charges against us to the cross. “He made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them in it.” (Colossians 2:13–15)
And He rose again. The cross was not the end. “If Christ is not risen, your faith is futile; you are still in your sins!” (1 Corinthians 15:17) "But now Christ is risen from the dead...” (1 Corinthians 15:20)
His resurrection is not optional - it’s the backbone of our faith. Without it, there is no victory. But because of it, we all have victory. “Death is swallowed up in victory. O death, where is your sting?” (1 Corinthians 15:54–55)
The truth is simple: There are many versions of Jesus in the world. But only one Jesus is real - the One revealed in the Scriptures. The One crucified, risen, and returning in glory.
Don’t be swayed by dreams. Don’t chase another voice. Open the Bible. That’s where Jesus is.
