Do You Know My Jesus?

When countless opinions flood our minds, one question stands out: Do you truly know Jesus? We often hear His name in church or through songs and prayers, but truly knowing Him goes beyond that. It's about meeting Him for ourselves, encountering Him personally. The same Jesus who walked the earth over 2,000 years ago is the one who stands with us today, unchanging and eternal. But how often do we pause and reflect – Is the Jesus I believe in the same yesterday, today, and forever?

Jesus Himself warned us to be careful, saying that many would come claiming to speak in His name, but not all would be true. "Take heed that no one deceives you. For many will come in My name, saying, 'I am the Christ,' and will deceive many." (Matthew 24:4-5)

Even today, many claim to represent Him. This is why it is so important to truly know who Jesus is. He longs for a personal relationship with each of us. His love is not distant or abstract – it is intimate and real. Yet, there is an enemy who seeks to rob us of this connection. The enemy tries to distract us from Jesus, clouding our understanding and filling our lives with everything but Him. We must stay vigilant, for even those closest to Jesus can stumble - Peter denied Him, Judas betrayed Him. This reminds us that the enemy blinds hearts to the truth, which leads us to a crucial question that every believer must answer…

Which Jesus Do You Believe In?

This question defines our faith, our hope, and our eternity.

  • The Jesus we believe in is the promised Seed, foretold to crush the serpent's head.

"I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your seed and her Seed; He shall bruise your head." (Genesis 3:15)

  • He is not just a prophet or a teacher. He is the Son of God, born of a virgin, conceived by the Holy Spirit. The Jesus we believe in is not an angel, nor is He simply a messenger. He is Wonderful, Counsellor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.

"For unto us a Child is born, unto us a Son is given and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace." (Isaiah 9:6)

  • Jesus entered this world just like us – through the womb of a woman – yet He is unlike anyone else. He alone was called Immanuel, God with us.

  • Jesus fulfilled every prophecy. He proclaimed freedom to the captives and healed the broken-hearted. His words were not empty promises – they were life.

"The Spirit of the Lord is on me, because he has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners and recovery of sight for the blind, to set the oppressed free” (Luke 4:18) Wherever He went, lives were transformed. The sick were healed, the blind received sight, and the oppressed found freedom.

But His greatest act was yet to come...

  • Jesus carried our sins to the cross, died, and rose again on the third day.

"Christ died for our sins... He was buried, and He rose again the third day... He was seen by over five hundred brethren." (1 Corinthians 15:3-6)

  • His resurrection was witnessed by hundreds, confirming that He alone holds the keys to life and death.

"While they watched, He was taken up, and a cloud received Him." (Acts 1:9)

A Call to Believe

As John 3:36 says, the invitation to know Him deeply and receive eternal life is open to everyone. But Jesus left us with a warning. In the last days, many will claim to be the Christ, but He told us clearly: "If anyone says to you, 'Look, here is the Christ!' do not believe it... For as lightning comes from the east to the west, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be." (Matthew 24:23-27)

His return will not be hidden. It will be unmistakable, as bright as lightning across the sky. And He invites you to know Him - not just as a figure of history but as a living Savior, present today, and forever the same. The Jesus we believe in stands above all, there is no rival, no equal. He is the Christ, the fulfillment of every prophecy, the Savior who conquered death and offers eternal life to all who believe.

So, when someone comes with new revelations or claims, ask them:

·        What scripture speaks of you?

·        Who foretold your coming?

·        Who is your Father?

These questions are meant to guard the truth. They remind us to anchor our faith in the unchanging Jesus - the same yesterday, today, and forevermore.
