Kenya
Hope invites you to help one of Africa’s most beloved countries. Each year Hope sends teams to Peace Home Orphanage in Kisumu, Kenya to share the love of God with the children. It is an amazing opportunity to experience life in a completely different culture, make a difference in the children's lives living at the orphanage and enjoy the beauty Kenya has to offer.

Hope Funds Peace Home
Following a Hope mission trip in 2011, Hope has continued to provide prayer and financial support to an orphanage in Kisumu called Peace Home. The orphanage is run by Pastor Zacheus Ochieng and his wife Agnes. They have two children, Ray and Daniel and they care for 15 orphans aged between 6 and 16.
God has been using us to funnel financial blessings upon Peace Home and since 2011 we have raised over £8,000. This has enabled Peace Home to build a new dormitory for the girls, a new dormitory for the boys, purchase two water tanks and guttering to preserve water during drought, a motorbike for transport, repair the toilet facility build a second toilet, pay school fees and buy food in bulk aswell as a dairy cow!
Very recently the money has also paid for a one month training programme for Zachy to learn about Organic Farming. This has led to an increased awareness about what crops to grow and how to grow them in this part of Kenya with a focus on tackling malnutrition which exists as a direct result of poverty. The vision is that in the long term the farming aspect will develop and will be self sustaining, enabling them to reach out and support their neighbours in surrounding villages. Hope wants to work in partnership with Peace Home to see God open up opportunities for the broken and needy here in the UK to travel to Kenya and use the gifting that God has planted within them overseas on cross cultural mission.
